Kayla Peek 

Kayla Peek grew up in a military family and spent much of her childhood living overseas in Germany. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas where she earned a Bachelors of English with a focus in elementary education. She taught in Texas for 6 years before moving to Colorado, where she has been teaching for two years. She enjoys cooking, reading books, and exploring nature with her husband, Ian, and three dogs; Babydoll, Minion, and Stormy.

Jackelene Alvarado

Jackelene is new to the Elkhart community this year. She was born and raised in Denver, CO and received a degree in Architecture at UCD. She loves reading and anything art and spends her day surrounded by her 3 dogs.





Nicole graduated from Auburn University in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching in Colorado for 6 years. She spent the last 3 years teaching kindergarten, and before that taught third grade and sixth grade. She loves to paint, crochet, play games, and spend time outdoors. She is excited to join the Elkhart community this year and teach first grade!

Jacqueline Arroyo

Jackie is a new teacher, she is excited to join the Elkhart community. She was born and raised in Illinois and has been in the Denver/Aurora area since 2016. She graduated from Metropolitan State University this year with a Bachelors of Art in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Cultural Linguistic Diversity. She has a daughter that is 16 months old that keeps her busy and on her toes. With her time off she visits family in Illinois where she cheers on the Chicago White Sox. She also enjoys spending time with her husband's family in Puerto Rico and exploring the island. She is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment as well as building an inclusive community with her peers.
