Fourth Grade Team

Jessica joined the Elkhart community in 2012, making this her 10th year at Elkhart and 17th year teaching!  She is the mother of two daughters, one that is also a teacher and another daughter that is a senior in high school. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.   She absolutely loves teaching!

My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day.

I do my job by always putting students first, through my actions, my words and my intentional moves to not only teach them but inspire them.

My community needs me to do my job.

Stacey joined the Elkhart community in 2014. Before that she taught for 7 years at an elementary school in Northern New Jersey where she was born and raised. She has a Master’s degree in Elementary Math and Reading.  In her free time she loves to be outdoors with her family. She has a 12 year old boy and an 8 year old girl.  Hiking, camping, paddle boarding and skiing are some of her favorite activities. She also loves going to concerts and listening to live music.

My job is to accelerate the learning of every APS student every day.

I do my job by creating a safe learning environment, where students can build their confidence as learners and feel free to be risk takers.

My community needs me to do my job!

Katrena Gunn will be teaching fourth grade this year. After teaching in Japan, she's excited to be back. Katrena traveled a lot with her husband and two dogs due to the military. Since then, her family has grown, and she now has a sweet little boy. When she's not teaching, you'll find her drawing, reading, or enjoying time with her family.
