Interventionists

Pam has wanted to be an educator since she was a little girl teaching her class of dolls & stuffed animals.  Her dream came true and she has worked with kids since her 1st job at age 16 in a daycare center! When she is not teaching, you can find her in the mountains with her husband and 3 adult children camping, 4 wheeling, and hiking, or just curled up and reading a book.  She is honored to be here at Elkhart!

My community needs me to do my job.

Gena has been teaching in APS since 2002.  She has taught kindergarten through fifth grade.  Prior to becoming a teacher, she had earned a bachelors in Business Administration and managed an office.  She loves spending time with her husband, son and daughter watching movies and traveling.

Teri grew up in Nebraska where she received her Bachelor’s in Science from the University of Nebraska and then moved to Virginia where she taught for 10 years and earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction of Multilingual/Multicultural Education from George Mason University.  This will be Teri’s 13th year at Elkhart making it her 23rd year of teaching.   Aside from her love of teaching reading, she also loves spending time boating, camping, and traveling with her husband and 10 year old daughter.

Abby has lived and taught in Colorado the last 10 years. She previously taught First Grade in Aurora the last nine years and transitioned this year to becoming an Interventionist.  Abby moved here after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education and has always been passionate about reading specifically. In her free time she enjoys gardening, spending time with her dog Galileo, and traveling.
